Sberbank CIB sees Russian inflation close to 3% in 2020
MOSCOW, Jan 13 (PRIME) – Russia’s inflation will slow down to 2.5% by March and will be close to 3% at the end of 2020, Sberbank CIB said in a report on Monday.
“We do not expect noticeable upward pressure on prices and we think that inflation will again be close to 3% at the end of the year,” the bank said, adding that the gross domestic product (GDP) dynamics and the consumption rise will be modest.
The central bank expects January–March inflation to be below 3% and puts it at 3.5–4.0% for the whole year.
